At the Leaders of Faith Foundation, we believe generosity is more than a transaction — it’s a legacy. One of the most powerful tools available to today’s givers is the Donor- Advised Fund (DAF). A DAF is like a charitable investment account. You contribute cash, stocks, or other assets, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to ministries and causes you care about — at your own pace. This means you can give strategically, even in years when you’re not ready to make a large direct gift. For many of our supporters, a DAF has been the bridge between their financial stewardship and their spiritual calling.
Why it matters:
- Flexibility – Give when you’re ready, to the causes God places on your heart, without rushing decisions.
- Kingdom Impact – Support faith-based initiatives that transform lives.
- Tax Benefits – Maximize your giving power while reducing your taxable income.
- Simplicity: Manage all your charitable giving from one place.
- Plan for the future by setting aside funds for ongoing ministry support.
Jesus gives a wonderful scenario in Matthew 25 when he paints this picture:
14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted
his wealth to them. (Notice that the man invests in his trusted servants by delegating his
wealth to them. Two servants significantly increased the amount entrusted to them.)
20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said,
‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’
21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with
a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s
happiness!’”
The second servant had a similar encounter with the master. Two servants stewarded their master’s money and multiplied it. He saw something in them and decided to invest in them. The master (and Jesus) celebrates and honors his faithful servants. May we wisely steward what God has given to us. If you’ve been looking for a way to make your giving more intentional, a DAF could be the answer. Our team is here to guide you through the process so your generosity can continue to change lives — today and for generations to come.
