Eagles’ Carson Wentz speaks at National Prayer Breakfast dinner

What a special opportunity to hear from a wonderful man of faith!
Carson Wentz stated that faith alone leads to salvation. A key passage he shared was Matthew 7:22-23 in order to introduce the importance of Servant Leadership.
“Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”
Servant leadership turns the power pyramid upside down; instead of the people working to serve the leader, the leader exists to serve the people. Do seek praise in the approval of men or God?
“Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Matthew 20:26-28
“The greatest servant leaders is Jesus Christ. How did He lead? He washed the feet of others, He cared for them, He healed them. Jesus valued others and did it with love and compassion. Lead humbly or you will be humbled.”
Carson Wentz shared his passion and heart in a very way through the Person of Jesus.
