Pennsylvania Society Prayer Breakfast during COVID.
“Easy to have a bitter heart but have a Better Heart – only comes when you are grounded in Jesus Christ.” PA Congressman
The Pennsylvania Society is an annual weekend retreat for Pennsylvania’s politicians and business leaders held in New York City. It began during the late 19th century as a meeting of Pennsylvanians living in New York City who gathered annually beginning in 1899 to discuss events in their home state. As the first few meetings developed into an annual event, it morphed into weekend-long retreat where political networking and fundraising took place in New York’s finest clubs, restaurants, and hotels.
In the past years, the much anticipated annual holiday dinner was held on the second Saturday of December in the Grand Ballroom of The Waldorf-Astoria in midtown Manhattan. Traditionally, the governor addresses the gathering, along with the year’s honorees. Unfortunately due to COVID, this event along with many others were cancelled.
Since 2018, Leaders of Faith has sponsored a prayer breakfast in the midst of this special gathering. What a great opportunity to keep before key leaders the mind of Jesus and the Kingdom work. In the midst of our many challenges like COVID, the prayer breakfast continued virtually. What a wonderful time to discover more of heaven on earth during these trying times.
How are you seeing heaven and Jesus in the midst of a pandemic was a question before those attending?
“Virus Is Big. Death Is Big. God is Bigger – praise for Him being bigger.”

Grateful to be a part of and continue the ministry work among those gathering at the PA Society. Leaders of Faith continues to work with leaders and create opportunities for meaningful fellowship around Jesus!
